NCRE Celebrates 10 Years of Making the Future Brighter!
The team at NCRE is excited to announce today marks the Company’s 10th Anniversary! With an exponential growth in experience and strong relationships, and now over 5 Gigawatts of projects under development; we are grateful for the decade of participating in the push towards green energy.
Managing partner Frank Dekker said,
“A ten-year anniversary is a major milestone, and I am pleased that NCRE is looking stronger and healthier at 10 years more than at any time in its history.
We have grown a lot and experienced the ups and downs of the solar market as we pushed for recognition initially, confusing ITC messaging, political headwinds and now a realization that solar truly is a renewable energy resource that is bankable and of the moment.
With a solid customer base of blue-chip clients, investors, and a strong team of professionals, NCRE is gearing up for the next 10 years of solar and energy storage success. There is nowhere else I’d rather be.”
Since its inception in 2011, NCRE has been successful in obtaining site control, grid interconnections, and zoning for over a hundred projects. As the company expanded into other states, NCRE’s experience has grown company-wide; with over 50 years of collective industry experience now within the team.
Ten years ago, Dan Shaffer launched North Carolina Renewable Energy during the height of the solar boom in North Carolina. NCRE was founded near the city of Rocky Mount NC, as a small regional solar developer focusing on 1 to 2 MW utility scale solar farms throughout North Carolina.
As the company grew over the next five years, so did our pool of investors and partners. This gave NCRE the opportunity to expand into South Carolina and Virginia, and strengthen our relationships with clients and partners, local and state governments, as well as the multitude of local and regional utilities. These successes led to NCRE expanding its development portfolio from 1 – 2 MW sites to developing projects all the way up to 100 MW!
Today, we have grown from a small regional developer in North Carolina, to an experienced and motivated solar partner; developing projects in over 6 states with more than 5,000 megawatts of solar projects under development.
